Frequently asked questions
🐝 Do I need experience to help?
Nope. You don’t need to be an expert in immigration law, activism, or organizing. You just need to care—and be willing to bring your small drop of effort to the hive. We’ll help you find a role that fits.
⏳ I don’t have a lot of time. Can I still be involved?
Absolutely. Some of our most powerful actions only take 5–10 minutes. Share a story. Write a letter. Repost a message. This is a place where every effort counts.
📍 Can I start a local Honeybee Hive in my area?
Yes! We’re working on simple guides to help you get started. If you have even a few people nearby—or the passion to begin alone—you can become a local lead or help grow one near you.
🧰 What kind of roles are available?
Everything from social media and story collection to outreach, organizing, Zoom support, design, and just being a voice of encouragement. You can help behind the scenes or in the spotlight.
✊ What is Operation Honeybee fighting for?
We’re working to disrupt dehumanizing immigration systems—especially detention, deportation, and family separation. We believe in bold love, fierce justice, and collective action. We stand for people.
💌 Can I share my own story?
Yes—if you or someone close to you has been impacted by immigration enforcement and you want to share (anonymously or not), we’ll listen with respect and care. You are not alone.
📬 How do I stay connected?
Start by filling out our volunteer form. Then you’ll be invited into our group chat, email list, or local Hive. We’re building this movement together and we want you in the loop.
🧃 What if all I can offer is emotional support?
That matters more than you think. We need encouragers. Vibe checkers. Prayer warriors. Juice box givers. No one should carry this work alone, and your heart can be someone’s lifeline.
🌎 Where is Operation Honeybee based?
We’re national—with people stepping up in cities and small towns across the U.S. You can help from wherever you are.
🚀 What’s the next step?
Check out our Info Hub. Sign up for a role. Join a Zoom call. Or just reach out and say, “I’m here.” That’s how it starts. That’s how the hive grows.
